FED:Xenophon tight-lipped on flood levy

CANBERRA, Feb 28 AAP - Independent senator Nick Xenophon still hasn't decided whether
to support the federal government's flood levy and his position may not be known for weeks.

The $1.8 billion levy was passed by the lower house last Thursday after Labor secured
the support of four key crossbench MPs.

Family First's Steve Fielding and the Australian Greens have indicated they will support
the measure in the upper house, but given coalition opposition the government also needs
Senator Xenophon's vote to make the levy …
