CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Federal cabinet meets for a second day today to nut out theeconomic impact of deploying troops to the Persian Gulf while developing a strategy ondomestic issues.
Prime Minister John Howard called the special two-day cabinet meeting to help the governmentfocus on domestic issues such as higher education, family policies and welfare reforms.
But the implications of Australia's commitment to the military buildup in the MiddleEast, and the possibility of a war on Iraq, were also being discussed.
